Aki Sasamoto: Grilled Diagrams

Aki Sasamoto will transform the Studio Voltaire into an extraordinary culinary laboratory starting February 4, 2026. The Japanese artist installs a monumental industrial stovetop at the heart of the space for her first institutional exhibition in the UK. Here, meal preparation becomes a graphic act: Sasamoto uses food to trace ephemeral drawings, blending meticulously choreographed choreography and domestic rituals.
