Christine Kozlov: Conceptual Art
Raven Row
🔥
A central figure but too long in the shadows, this pioneering artist of Czech-Slovak origin shook up the codes of the New York scene between 1960 and 1970. Raven Row presents her radical works where the idea always takes precedence over the physical object. Through audio recordings, photographs, and minimalist texts, the artist relentlessly questioned the very nature of creation and the political tensions of her time. This major retrospective allows us to grasp the influence of this visionary woman who used found objects to push the boundaries of representation. Rarely shown to the public, these pieces challenge traditional categories and offer an uncompromising look at a unique period of intellectual effervescence. It’s a necessary rehabilitation to understand the evolution of contemporary art, to be seen from February 19th to April 26th, 2026.
