Born at the end of the 19th century, Swedish painter Anders Zorn is famous for his ability to capture the soul of the landscapes of his native region, Dalecarlia. The exhibition at the Fundación MAPFRE Madrid presents a selection of his most iconic works, including “Midnight,” a striking painting that captures the Scandinavian nocturnal light and the unique atmosphere of this land. Zorn, a pioneer of naturalistic painting, was able to fuse realism and modernity, becoming the first Scandinavian painter to achieve international success. This exhibition offers a glimpse into the universe of an artist with a sensitive eye and refined technique. You will be able to admire his portraits of royal figures and celebrities, as well as his landscapes full of emotion. A unique opportunity to discover the work of an undisputed master of the late 19th century. The exhibition is open from February 19th to May 17th, 2026.
