Eduardo Chillida. Dream the space

In 2026, the Centro Cultural Conde Duque will celebrate the centenary of Basque artist Eduardo Chillida with an exceptional retrospective. More than 102 works, ranging from monumental sculptures in iron, steel, and granite to engravings and collages, testify to his obsessive exploration of the relationship between space, matter, and void. Chillida, a major figure of the 20th century, sought to translate the tension between the visible and the invisible, creating works that challenge gravity and engage with their environment. This exhibition offers a dive into the evolution of his unique style, marked by a singular poetry and exceptional technical mastery. The event, free of charge, will take place from February 17th to June 21st, 2026, and allows for a rediscovery of the work of an artist whose influence is still felt today.
