In 2026, the Barcelona-based artist Lola Lasurt presents a unique work, ‘Aún Deep Song’, which reinterprets the iconic work of Martha Graham. Inspired by Lorca’s poem ‘Cante Jondo’ and the photographs from the Spanish Civil War, the choreography ‘Deep Song’ becomes the starting point for an imaginative reconstruction project. Lasurt uses painting, video and installations to explore the memory of movement and its transmission, thus connecting the past to contemporaneity. The three ‘frisos’ – I, II and III – translate the movements of the dance into pictorial forms, accompanied by live performances and video projections. This unprecedented approach, combining dance, painting and history, invites reflection on resistance, memory, and the way the body can become a language of memory. The exhibition is free and open from January 23rd to April 12th, 2026. A dynamic workshop and dialogue-based visits complete this immersive experience.
