In 2026, A.I.R. Gallery presents ‘Salt, Sulfur, Mercury’, a collective exhibition exploring the figure of the artist as an alchemist. Inspired by Paracelsus’ ‘tria prima’ – salt, sulfur, mercury – the exhibition invites a contemporary meditation on transformation and material invention. The 17 artist members, including Lori Hepner and Robin Dintiman, transform matter and memory through weaving, videos, and sculptures. Nishra Ranpura and Amy Yoshitsu, in particular, question the structure and ephemerality of the urban environment. The exhibition is part of an alchemical approach, seeking to deconstruct and reconstruct the world through the manipulation of fundamental elements. A fascinating exploration of creation and perception, accessible for free from April 2nd to May 3rd.
