Johny Pitts — Black Bricolage - Maison Européenne de la Photographie
Johny Pitts will be exhibiting at the Studio of the European Photography Foundation starting April 10, 2026. The British artist, known for his research into Afro-European identities, presents here a visual reflection on how cultures assemble and reinvent themselves daily. His photographs capture fragments of life and urban textures, forming a complex social mosaic often overlooked by official narratives. Far from frozen representations, his work functions as an assemblage of memories and contemporary gestures. This artistic proposition, visible until May 24, 2026, invites us to rethink our relationship to urban space through a poetic and engaged documentary perspective. It’s an opportunity to see how a fixed image can tell the story of the permanent movement of populations and ideas at the heart of modern metropolises.
