Literary Open Scene with Fanta Sylla and the bookstore La Régulière

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the Institut des Cultures d'Islam (ICI) will host an unprecedented literary open mic. Critic Fanta Sylla and the bookstore La Régulière are partnering to explore queer and Muslim identities through storytelling and writing. In a decolonial space, these voices blend together to grapple with the plurality of our existences. Koudjé Kébé, a multidisciplinary artist, and Sara Mychkine, a poet and performer, are designing a literary night where words become fleeting gestures, offering the right to opacity. It is a space for collective expressions, experimentation, where our cultures, spirituality, relationships, and everything that we are attempt to connect.
