Zenne - Photographic Exhibition

From April 9th to 16th, 2026, photographer Claire Corrion will be exhibiting at Paris Anim' Grange aux Belles. Her work on the zenne, male dancers who practiced belly dancing in the Ottoman Empire, offers a fascinating perspective on queer identity and cultural renewal. These images capture the freedom of expression of Uzay, Zahmer, and Emirhan, who perform in the meyhane of Ankara. The exhibition, in partnership with Acort, explores the border between tradition and modernity, questioning our social expectations. A must-see to understand how art can reveal invisible realities.
