For the first time in Italy, over fifty masterpieces from the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna are leaving Austria to invest Palazzo Cipolla. This exceptional exhibition presents the wonders accumulated by the Habsburg dynasty over the centuries. The works by Rubens, Velázquez, Brueghel the Elder, Van Dyck, Titian, and many other masters testify to the enlightened patronage of this family that ruled a large part of Europe. Paintings, sculptures, and precious objects tell the story of a collection that ranks among the richest in the world. A dialogue is also established between the architecture of Palazzo Cipolla, designed by Antonio Cipolla, and that of the Vienna museum, creating a fascinating parallel between Rome and Vienna. A unique opportunity to admire treasures usually kept in the halls of the imperial Viennese museum.
