Akira Ishiguro: Critical Reflection on the Anthropocene - Anjin (Daikanyama Tsutaya Books)
Akira Ishiguro transforms the second floor of the Daikanyama Tsutaya Books library into a geological laboratory from April 6th to July 5th, 2026. Using raw materials taken directly from natural sites, the artist makes tangible the irreversible transformations that human activity inflicts on the Earth. His multimedia installations translate complex scientific data into a striking visual experience, questioning our place within ecosystems. At the heart of the Anjin space, this dialogue between art and environment invites a necessary awareness of the depletion of our resources. Ishiguro manages to materialize the invisible, transforming ecological research into works of great aesthetic power. This artistic stop offers a rare moment of intellectual contemplation, where the beauty of forms confronts the urgency of our current climate crisis.
