Marianne Huotari: Voyage

Finnish artist Marianne Huotari reimagines ancient rya textiles through meticulously crafted ceramic sculptures and wall tapestries. Inspired by botanical forms, sartorial details, and a touch of psychedelic imagery – as seen in her expansive works like ‘Night in the Arboretum’ – she creates intricate pieces built from hundreds of hand-formed ceramic beads sewn onto metal armatures. This exhibition marks Huotari's first solo show with Hostler Burrows x HB381, showcasing a significant evolution in her practice. Known for championing Nordic design alongside Kim Hostler and Juliet Burrows since 1998, Hostler Burrows presents this collection of oneiric visions.
