Pati Hill repurposed the office photocopier into a radical tool for creation. As early as the 1970s, the artist harnessed Xerox technology to capture the materiality of objects with spectacular precision. Starting March 15, 2026, MoMA PS1 will highlight her monumental compositions that blur the boundaries between the flat image and sculpture. By assembling black and white prints, Hill transforms mass reproduction into a tactile and architectural experience. These imposing works reveal an unsuspected poetry in the paper grain, offering a visionary perspective on the fusion between conceptual art and technology. This event, visible until September 2026, does justice to a pioneer who knew how to transform the ordinary into the monumental.
