In a fascinating dialogue between nature and matter, Giuseppe Penone presents a new series of bronze sculptures at the Gagosian gallery. The exhibition, which opens on April 22, 2026, explores the ability of bronze to capture and immortalize organic forms â trees, branches, and other natural elements â thus revealing their essence. Influenced by the aesthetics of Arte Povera, Penone uses bronze to create works that appear suspended between the tangible and the intangible. This exhibition marks the artistâs return with the gallery and the presentation of two major collections, the result of a deep reflection on the relationship between humanity and the world around them. The work is presented in the context of a collaboration with Adam D. Weinberg, former director of the Whitney Museum of American Art. A unique opportunity to discover the art of a master of contemporary sculpture.
