Mark di Suvero: Forward!

In 2026, Paula Cooper Gallery will inaugurate an unprecedented exhibition dedicated to Mark di Suvero, highlighting his iconic work ‘Avanti!’. Created in the late 1990s, this interactive sculpture, twenty-three meters in length, invites the viewer to interact with a suspended horizontal beam within a metal circle. This first public presentation of ‘Avanti!’ offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the complexity of di Suvero’s work, which explores the relationship between man and space. The exhibition also includes sculptures from 1986 and 2004, as well as a selection of drawings. The exhibition is open from May 2nd to July 17th. A rare opportunity to discover a rarely exhibited work to the public.
