Mary Salstrom: Sunlight and Space, Summer Landscapes of Sweden and Illinois

Mary Salstrom invites to a visual journey through landscapes of Sweden and Illinois, captured in oil and pastel paintings. The artist, whose roots are anchored in the landscapes of her childhood in Illinois and in Swedish family heritage, explores the intimate relationship between humankind and its environment. Her works, created between April and May 2026, testify to a fascination for natural light and rural architecture, enriching each scene with a subtle human presence. A series of presentations and discussions is planned, including a talk on Saturday, April 25th at 3pm. This exhibition, presented by Prince Street Gallery, offers a glimpse into Salstrom’s poetic vision, where memory and imagination meet to create luminous and evocative landscapes. It is free to the public.
