Time takes a cigarette

Yuval Pudik, a multidisciplinary artist based in New York, draws inspiration from an iconic David Bowie lyric to question our relationship with the ephemeral. At the PALO Gallery, from March 1st to April 25th, 2026, his works blending photography and mixed media capture the fading beauty and our obsessive desire to freeze time. Pudik conceives his creations as intimate monuments, ramparts against oblivion where documentation fights against the inevitable loss of lived moments. This artistic proposition transforms the casual consumption of seconds into a precious archive. We observe the tension between memory and disappearance, offering a novel perspective on the artifacts we create to resist silence. It’s a privileged opportunity to contemplate the trace that our lives leave behind, far beyond the simple image.
