Bij Matisse – Meesterwerken van het Centraal Pompidou

In april 1940, Henri Matisse was finishing Romanian Blouse, a work that has become the symbol of stubborn joie de vivre in the face of the darkness of the dark years. Exceptionally, this masterpiece leaves the walls of the Centre Pompidou to install itself at the H’ART Museum in Amsterdam. Accompanied by eighty magnificent canvases, the painting here dialogues with the visions of Picasso, Rothko or even Bonnard. A green buffet is enough to order silence while a brilliant red redefines the space.
