Nancy Baker Cahill: EENHONDERD

In 2023, the artist Nancy Baker Cahill created CENTO, an immersive and evolving installation that transforms Floor 8 of the Whitney Museum of New York into a futuristic ecosystem. This generative artwork, accessible via an AR app, features a hybrid creature – a mix of snake, cephalopod, and biomimicry – whose evolution is driven by the visitors. The installation includes an immersive film tracing the habitat of this entity, as well as a
