In 2026, the Shoah Memorial offers an unprecedented look into the life of Simone Veil, exploring the deep bonds that united the woman with her sisters, Madeleine and Denise. The exhibition, designed by filmmaker David Teboul, reveals the intimate history of the Jacob family, from the carefree days of their Niçoise childhood to the tragedy of their brother Jean Jacob’s deportation in 1944. Photographs of Jean, long kept within the family, are at the heart of this moving presentation. The exhibition sheds light on the invisible scars of the Shoah and the resilience of these women in the face of horror. It relies on personal documents and rare images to tell a family story that is both tender and heartbreaking, testifying to the fate of French Jews. The event is free and takes place from February 10th to October 15th, 2026.
