In April 2026, the Bibliothèque nationale de France will host an unprecedented exploration: the NOÛS festival. This first edition, the result of a collaboration between the BnF, Fisheye, and other partners, interrogates the impact of artificial intelligence on artistic creation. The exhibition invites a dialogue between the literary, artistic, and scientific heritage of the BnF and contemporary technological advancements. International artists, such as Justine Emard or Kimchi & Chips, use the BnF’s collections – books, engravings, photographs – as a source of inspiration and raw material, exploring generative and interactive art forms. The festival aims to be an ethical compass, seeking to reconcile innovation with respect for the heritage, revealing what has been buried through AI. Access is free from April 9 to 19. Conferences, performances, and screenings complete this unique program.
