Jade Irribarria shapes a universe where medieval chimera lose their fear to become mischievous companions of clay. Drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of ancient illuminated manuscripts and the tenderness of children's books, the artist gives body to a unique bestiary populated with creatures of soft forms and mischievous gazes. Each modeled piece tells a story, blurring the boundary between legendary past and contemporary imagination. The Violette Leduc Media Library will host these earthworks from March 17 to April 19, 2026, offering a timeless poetic interlude. It’s an opportunity to observe closely the precision of the material’s work and the modern reinterpretation of secular figures, transformed here into artworks as endearing as they are original.
