Fujiko Nakaya

Fujiko Nakaya, a pioneering Japanese artist of atmospheric art, has sculpted the intangible for over fifty years. Starting June 4, 2026, her work “Cloud #07156” transforms the Rotonde de la Bourse de Commerce into an eerie landscape where Tadao Ando’s architecture is veiled in mist. Thousands of micro-droplets of pure water erupt to form a vaporous mass, evolving with the currents of air and light. This meteorological choreography challenges the senses: the solid contours of the building fade away, giving way to a physical and poetic experience. Between appearance and disappearance, the glass and concrete structure becomes the stage for a recreated natural phenomenon, offering a refreshing pause at the heart of the city. This major artistic event remains visible until August 24, 2026.
