In 2026, the Musée Picasso Paris offers an unprecedented dive into the work of Henry Taylor, a contemporary American painter whose portraits capture the very essence of the moment. The exhibition, designed in collaboration with the artist, explores the complexity of the human condition through ordinary figures – friends, strangers, public personalities – painted with obsessive attention. Taylor deconstructs portrait conventions, transforming each image into a meditation on presence and time. The exhibition, spread over two floors, presents a hundred works, from paintings to sculptures, revealing an intimate and often poignant vision of our time. Taylor’s work, marked by an exploration of social structures and inequalities, fits within a lineage of exhibitions dedicated to major artists such as Jackson Pollock and Philip Guston. The exhibition is accessible from April 8, 2026, until September 6, 2026.
