The Jacob Family Between the Lines - Mémorial de la Shoah
At the heart of the Shoah Memorial, an unprecedented exhibition reveals the family archives of Simone Veil, born Jacob. Through a choral graphic narrative, the exhibition plunges into the lives of the three sisters, Madeleine, Denise, and Simone, exploring their idyllic childhood in the Mediterranean and the tragedy that led them to deportation. Based on the book and film “The Jacob Sisters,” the exhibition sheds light on the extraordinary bond that united them, their courage in the face of horror, and the tenderness that characterized them. David Teboul, the creator, uses correspondence and family archives to tell the story of this family marked by the Occupation, offering an intimate look at the experience of the Shoah through the prism of sisterhood. The exhibition is accessible from May 17, 2026.
