At the heart of Paris, the National Maritime Museum invites you on a four-century journey. To mark the 400th anniversary of the Navy, the exhibition sheds light on the crucial influence of painters on the perception of French maritime power. From the 17th to the 20th century, nearly 150 works, ranging from portraits of sailors to spectacular representations of ships, reveal how artists shaped our imaginary of the maritime world.
