Balzac House and Current Exhibition

Gustave Flaubert, Charles Dickens and Marcel Proust share a common origin: the legacy of Honoré de Balzac. This iconic figure of French realism, whose home is now accessible to the public, redefined the novel and influenced generations of writers. The current exhibition, “The Creative Pathways,” explores the backstage of his literary process, linking his works with major artists such as Alechinsky, Picasso and Rodin. Visitors will be able to admire original manuscripts, personal objects and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the 19th century. The exhibition, which extends from June 2026 to December 2099, offers a unique glimpse into the life and work of a visionary. Access is offered at a price of €11.
