Neue Nationalgalerie: Admission Ticket

From March 20 to August 9, 2026, the Neue Nationalgalerie invites you to immerse yourself in the work of Gerhard Richter. This unique exhibition gathers for the first time 100 works loaned by the Gerhard Richter Kunststiftung, including the impressive series Birkenau (2014). These four abstract canvases, covered in paint, gradually reveal the original photograph beneath their colored layer. Another highlight: major works such as Squatters' House (1989) and 6 Standing Panes (2002). Don’t forget to appreciate the permanent collection, which features masters such as Dalí, Kirchner, and Picasso. Mies van der Rohe’s column-free universal space offers the perfect setting for these masterpieces. Open your eyes to extended opening hours until 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
