Alexandre Lenoir. By the Force of Things

Alexandre Lenoir, a rising figure in contemporary art born in 1992, invests the Orangerie Museum with four monumental canvases created specifically for the occasion. His landscapes, inhabited by evanescent silhouettes, are born from a quasi-alchemical process where the material seems to organize itself. From photographic memories, the artist captures moments of happiness bathed in solar light, while allowing a wild and unpredictable nature to reclaim its rights. This confrontation between the brilliance of colors and a dull melancholy creates a fascinating dialogue at the heart of this 16th contemporary counterpoint. From March 25th to August 24th, 2026, this installation reveals familiar scenes transformed by a singular technique, where chance and mastery blend to disrupt our perceptions of reality.
