Viraj Khanna | Brian Robertson: Made To Appear

Viraj Khanna | Brian Robertson: Made To Appear

116 Chambers St., New York, 10007
Starting June 18, 2026, the GR Gallery confronts the visions of Viraj Khanna and Brian Robertson around an ancestral medium: textiles. These two artists challenge the codes of embroidery and assemblage to tell our time. Khanna draws on Indian artisanal heritage to create surreal figures, while Robertson injects a graphic and urban aesthetic into his compositions. Far from classical tapestries, their works become striking social commentaries, where thread and needle serve as brushes to depict the tensions of the current world. This unique artistic encounter occupies the space until August 1, 2026. It’s an opportunity to observe how millennial techniques adapt with force to the themes of contemporary identity and consumption.
  • Un unprecedented fusion between ancestral embroidery and modern graphic design
  • A committed textile reflection on current societal issues
  • Stylistic confrontation between Indian heritage and urban influence
