At the Heart of Japan

Alice Breton spent thirty-five days traversing the Japanese archipelago during autumn 2025. From this human and artistic adventure, she brings a series of sensitive visual testimonies exhibited at the Centre Paris Anim’ Jean-Michel Martial. From March 31st to April 26th, 2026, her creations trace a journey where each image tells a story of a meeting, a landscape, or a detail of everyday life captured between October and November. The artist avoids conventional codes to focus on the authenticity of a multifaceted territory. These works offer a window onto a millennial culture, captured with touching accuracy. This springtime encounter allows one to escape through the memories of a photographer attentive to the nuances of light and the sweetness of fleeting moments.
