Jade Irribarria brings to life fantastical creatures once found in medieval illuminations, transforming them into earthen companions. Under her artistic pseudonym, the artist crafts a menagerie of mischievous monsters and hybrid beasts directly inspired by our childhood tales. Her terracotta sculptures depart from historical austerity to prioritize the roundness and tenderness of children's illustrations. The Violette Leduc Library will host this singular bestiary from March 17th to April 19th, 2026. Each individually hand-crafted figurine possesses its own personality, making ceramic a vibrant storytelling medium. This artistic proposition celebrates the union between an ancient artisanal technique and an oniric universe of modern grandeur. The opportunity is ideal for observing these endearing characters who seem ready to escape their shelves to tell their secrets.
