Chaïm Kaliski. "Jim of Etterbeek" - Musée d'Art et d'Histoire du Judaïsme
Chaïm-Charles Kaliski dedicated his life to documenting history through a monumental graphic work. From January to December 2026, the Museum of Art and Jewish History will exhibit a hundred ink drawings extracted from a dizzying fund of over five thousand pieces. This captivating visual testimony retraces the years of Occupation in Brussels, as seen by an artist whose life was forever transformed by the Shoah. These precise ink strokes are not mere sketches, but the intimate and powerful narrative of a singular being. This presentation offers a unique look at living memory, carried by a need to testify beyond the ordinary. A striking encounter with a destiny and an act of resistance through the stroke, accessible until the end of the year.
