Joel Quayson — "How Do You Feel?"

Laureate of the prestigious Dior Prize 2025, Joel Quayson invests the MEP Studio for his first monograph. The Ghanéen-Dutch artist develops a powerful visual narrative where photography and video respond to each other in order to question the foundations of identity. From February 11th to April 6th, 2026, this exhibition highlights the complexity of a multifaceted journey: cultural heritage, religious convictions, questions of gender and sexual orientation. Quayson captures with precision the moments where these dimensions intertwine or clash, offering an intimate and necessary view on the construction of self. The Maison Européenne de la Photographie thus hosts an emerging talent whose artistic maturity promises a remarkable encounter with the public, without detour or artifice.
