National September 11 Memorial & Museum
Le Mémorial et Musée national du 11 septembre
🍃
Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, this place of memory tells the story through poignant testimonies and authentic artifacts. Descend into the foundations of the original World Trade Center for an immersive experience: the historical retaining wall, the 11-meter column honoring the victims, the stairs used by survivors. Above, two reflecting basins engraved with the names of the victims mark the footprint of the twin towers. The museum preserves over 10,000 objects from Ground Zero, including debris from the north antenna and a firetruck. Between stories of resilience and archival images, this space invites reflection on unity and hope. A must-visit to understand how a nation has risen again.
