Magdalena Abakanowicz. The Loom of Existence
Musée Bourdelle
⚡
Magdalena Abakanowicz revolutionized modern sculpture by transforming textiles into organic, monumental and vibrant structures. From December 14, 2025 to April 12, 2026, the Musée Bourdelle proposes a rare sensory experience to approach these fiber works. Far from traditional routes, this two-voice visit brings together the sophrologist Gaëlle Piton and the mediator Amélie Dubois. Together, they invite us to slow down the rhythm and engage our senses to perceive the brute force of materials. This dialogue between Polish textile creations and Antoine Bourdelle's historical plaster works prioritizes corporeal feeling and breath. A suspended parenthesis allows for immersion in Abakanowicz' work through a physical and serene approach, in the heart of an historical workshop.
