Paintings and Other Things by Mireille Blanc

Mireille Blanc re-invests the walls of Galerie Anne-Sarah Bénichou from March 21 to May 17, 2026. For this third solo exhibition, the artist probes the thin line between familiar objects and their blurred memories. Using anonymous photographs or details of everyday life, she sculpts the material to give it a nearly fleshy thickness. Her works question our gaze: an fabric, a trinket, or a silhouette become visual enigmas where color seems to still vibrate. By working on framing and grain, she transforms the mundane into a poetic and disturbing experience. This is a privileged opportunity to observe the metamorphosis of our internal images under the strokes of a major figure in contemporary painting.
