Return to the Galleria Borghese

From March 17th to May 10th, 2026, the Galleria Borghese presents a special exhibition dedicated to the “return” of a precious allegory in its permanent collection. Curated by Lucia Calzona, this exhibition highlights two central chapters in the gallery’s collecting history. Visitors discover recently restored works and rarely exhibited pieces, offering a new perspective on the Borghese collection. The exhibition explores historical acquisitions, restorations, and rediscoveries that shaped this iconic museum. This temporary presentation enriches the gallery visit by revealing lesser-known aspects of its exceptional artistic heritage.
