Shun Okada: PAUSE
Galerie Sato
⚡
Shun Okada captures this precise moment when the screen freezes and where action shifts into the unreal. Inspired by the aesthetics of early video games, the Japanese artist invests the Sato Gallery to question suspended time. His canvases translate the visual saturation that occurs when movement abruptly stops, leaving place for a vibrant, charged graphic "noise." Far from being a simple static image, each work vibrates with unresolved energy, transforming pixels from the past into an organic and mysterious pictorial matter. This work confronts with brilliance the digital nostalgia with the force of contemporary painting. These unique creations are presented to the public from March 19th to April 4th, 2026.
