On Korean Literature "The Power of Speaking"
Centre Culturel Coréen
🔥
1945 marked a radical turning point for the Korean peninsula, finally releasing a long-suppressed voice. The Korean Cultural Center retraces this intellectual saga through the major currents that have nourished contemporary literature in the country. From the first post-independence writings to the most recent societal reflections, the exhibition illustrates how authors have seized language to reconstruct a national and individual identity. We observe the metamorphosis of narratives once marked by collective history towards more intimate and universal themes. This event offers a unique reading of the Korean soul, far beyond the usual successes of pop culture. Accessible from October 24, 2025, to March 29, 2026, this event is aimed at both bibliophiles and those curious to understand the power of words in a society constantly reinventing itself.
