Engraving and Sorrows - Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève
Lars Bo, a Danish artist based in Paris after World War II, considered engraving a way of life, a center of his universe. Starting April 17, 2026, the Sainte-Geneviève Library invites you to explore his works in the library hall. This exhibition, the result of a continuous dialogue with Bo’s work, plunges into the heart of his plastic language, revealing the complexity of his universes and his figures. It continues a first exhibition dedicated to the artist, “A Dane in Paris.” The exhibition, designed in mirror of the exhibition “The Making of Engraving,” offers a new perspective on the technique and atmosphere that shaped his work. A unique opportunity to discover the artist’s engraving techniques and to understand how he transformed engraving into a true obsession. Free admission.
