In 2026, the Grand Palais will host an unprecedented exhibition dedicated to Hilma af Klint, a pioneer of abstraction whose work was long ignored. This Swedish artist, active before Kandinsky and Mondrian, created complex compositions blending vibrant colors and esoteric symbols. The exhibition, co-produced by the Grand Palais and the Centre Pompidou, will for the first time in France present a major selection of her works, notably the monumental cycle “Paintings for the Temple.” This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to observe the evolution of a visionary artist who anticipated the currents of modern art. Visitors will thus be able to rediscover a radical and influential work, testifying to an innovative artistic approach. The exhibition will be open from May 6th to August 30th, 2026.
