In April 2026, the Musée de l’Homme invites you to an unprecedented exploration of human longevity. The exhibition “The Great Ages” was born from a collaboration between Samuel Pavard, biodemographer, and Nikos Aliagas, photographer, offering a unique perspective on aging. Through striking portraits captured by Aliagas, the exhibition deconstructs common representations of age, highlighting the dignity and complexity of bodies that pass through the decades. The exhibition explores old age as a biological, demographic, and social reality, crossing Pavard’s scientific data with Aliagas’ sensitive eye. It questions our relationship to time, memory, and the place of elders in our societies. A profound reflection on human longevity and its link to the evolution of our species, from April 8th, 2026 to January 3rd, 2027. Inaugural conference and guided tours are offered.
