In a world where silence becomes a threat, the James Baldwin Library welcomes a unique work by La Grande Mêlée. This exhibition of drawings, the result of a collective artistic endeavor, explores the tension between expression and despair. The work, titled “Tout le monde parle doucement. C’est insupportable. On va tous mourir. ” is the outcome of an intense exploration of the rhythm and geography of a neighborhood, inviting reflection on human fragility and the need to connect. Inspired by the practice of “Danses-dessins,” the exhibition highlights themes such as otherness, trust, and slowness, offering a space for encounter and observation. A vernissage (opening reception) will take place on Friday, April 3rd, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, for an immersion in this poignant and meditative work. The exhibition is free and accessible to all.
