Nhu Xuan Hua presents dreamlike digital photographs that explore memory and diasporic identity. Her poetic work utilizes digital manipulation techniques to create surreal images where bodies dissolve, transform, or fuse with their environment. The photographs interrogate notions of belonging, gender, and intergenerational transmission within migrant families. The artist creates visual universes where the real and the imaginary intertwine, using saturated colors and effects of transparency to evoke the fluidity of identities. The portraits, often created from family archives, become the support for a reflection on cultural heritage and transmitted traumas. This exhibition offers a contemporary perspective on diaspora and identity issues through an innovative and personal visual language.
