In 1642, Rembrandt began to experiment with etching, an innovative technique for his time. The “Experimenteerdrift” exhibition at the Museum Rembrandthuis plunges the visitor into this world of creation and errors. More than eighty works, ranging from the portraits of the Golden Age to contemporary etchings by Willem den Ouden, Glenn Brown and Guy Vording, testify to this bold approach. The exhibition invites an unprecedented immersion: at the heart of the gallery, a space allows you to reproduce the gestures of the masters – draw lines, play with black and light, accept imperfection. Bilingual Dutch-English panels dedicate a space to this approach. Far from being a simple spectacle, it’s an invitation to understand that every masterpiece was born from a tentative, sometimes chaotic, but always persistent effort. A table awaits you so that you can test your own techniques. PRICE: 23.50 €
