In 1979, Anouk Griffioen’s father captured the image of an undergrowth. Decades later, the artist transforms this photograph into a monumental architecture using charcoal. Behind the glass walls of the raam art space, these vertical forests seem to have suddenly sprouted against the urban concrete. The charcoal, between wood dust and intense blackness, spreads at human scale, transforming a familiar branch into an abstract matrix. Tessa Hendriks completes this landscape with her hanging cabins, recalling the scarcity of these wooded refuges. Together, they propose a new way of inhabiting vegetation, between physical shelter and graphic immersion. The city fades away for a moment before this space of paper and glass where drawing becomes a distinct space in itself. This hybrid location welcomes you Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
