The Resistance Museum of Amsterdam

One hundred personal stories breathe new life into the daily lives of Dutch people under German occupation from 1940 to 1945. Located in the heart of Amsterdam, this space traces the moral dilemmas and acts of bravery that marked World War II. Far removed from academic accounts, the route relies on intimate testimonies to question our own values in the face of dictatorship and persecution. The quest for freedom and tolerance becomes palpable through poignant objects and archives. Younger visitors benefit from a dedicated section where they follow the fate of four children during the conflict, making history concrete for all generations. An audio guide accompanies this journey to illuminate each story with valuable historical details, offering a complete vision of Dutch resistance.
