ATLANTINNEN: deep dive. measuring. spirit. 52°/13°

In 2026, Berlin will host a prominent exhibition by the Deutscher Künstlerbund, celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding. Three artists – Elvira Lantenhammer, Monika Linhard, and Zuzanna Skiba – contemplate immersion, measurement, and spirit, drawing inspiration from the mythological figure of Atlas. The artists’ humorous works explore the concepts of support and burden, while also addressing the central themes of gender equality and the visibility of women in art. This exhibition marks the culmination of an annual Künstlerbund project focused on recognizing female artists. It is part of a broader reflection on the role of art and its impact on society. The exhibition will run from March 20 to July 2, 2026. It is free and represents a major event for the Berlin art scene.
