Christoph Schlingensief. It's No Longer My Problem, Deal With Your Shit Alone

Christoph Schlingensief has spent his career demolishing the boundaries between cinema, opera, and political action. At the Gropius Bau, this expansive presentation abandons the format of a traditional retrospective to highlight a raw thought process where failure and doubt become creative forces. Through shocking actions and hybrid performances, the work challenges and confronts the visitor with frontal themes: colonial violence, discrimination, and militant provocations. Nothing is smoothed over; the experience is intense. The result of a collaboration with major Viennese institutions, the route offers bilingual German-English explanations and rejects the idea of a frozen masterpiece. You emerge from this walkaway with a lingering question: what remains once the scandal has faded and the scene deserted? Note that the venue closes its doors every Tuesday.
